ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
Charles Morrow has been an engineering consultant throughout the 90's while
developing Moongate Software. His consulting activities have included
working for the oil industry in Alaska and consulting for the
government labs in New Mexico. Previously, he worked in the oil/gas industry for twenty years,
primarily at the Prudhoe Bay fields in Alaska.
His education includes a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from
The Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
(computational fluid dynamics) from the University of New Mexico.
After spending several years in managerial positions, he returned to
graduate school in 1992 in order to return to a more technical work
environment. While working on his thesis, he began using the Microsoft
Excel spread sheet in his calculations. This lead to his realizing the
need for a way to manage complex calculations without spending a great
deal of money on sophisticated computer programs.
While at the University of New Mexico, he taught several engineering
classes, including thermodynamics. He remains in professional
contact with several members of the faculty.
